Stopping Demonstration

When Nayland Primary went to the stopping demonstration just up the road there were dummys on the road.
The people in the car went at different speeds. The first one was 20 kilometers, then 50, and last was 60. Then they crashed into 1 of the dummys and they did a big skid.
Inside the dummys was a little plastic bag of food colouring and when the car hit the dummy the bag of food coloring went all over the window screen and the teachers in the car were scared.

We learnt that children have to not run out onto the road because it can be hard for cars to stop!

Matt , the Teacher

We had a teacher called Matt and he taught us new games and activities.
Also he taught us new things that we had never done before.
He taught us:
* how to play midnight.
* how to make a pop up card.
* how to make a print.
* how to make fairy bread.
* how to make a fishing net.
* how to play four corner's.
But then he had to leave and the class was so sad.
When he had one more day left we had a party.

The Party!
We made Matt masks. On Friday we had to go outside and put our masks on then we came inside facing the wall ,jumped around and yelled SURPRISE !!! Then we ate delicious food that we had brought to share as a shared lunch.

Merry/merry/king of the bush is he

Making Fairy Bread

For our writing we made fairybread. It tasted really YUM! We were doing it to help us learn with reading and following instructions. First, you have to get what you need. This is bread, margarine or butter, and a plate or napkin, sprinkles, and a knife. Then butter the bread, then put some sprinkles on. Sprinkle them everywhere. At the end you could cut it into a shape, maybe using a cookie cutter. Then eat it and it tastes delicious. This was a fun activity.

Board Games

Me and Jackie made a board game. Our focus was the 50th Celebrations. For homework a few days before the 50th Celebrations we had to find out things that had happened over the years at school. Then we made a timeline with all our ideas, we made cards using the info from the timeline. At the end of the term we played our board games with some other classrooms. It was very fun

Michael Jackson Moves

In music on Thursday we listened to 'Thriller' by Michael Jackson. We danced like Michael Jackson, and we made up our own moves. Our moves were awesome. It looked like a party while we were dancing. There were heaps of zombies. Matt danced funny.
