Our class takes turns to write about the things we are doing in our classroom and around the school. We hope you enjoy finding out about our learning at school.

Gardening Yesterday
Yesterday at gardening we planted broccoli, cauliflower and tomatoes. Me and Caleb were the first group and we took photos of the plants and vegetables with the kids standing around them.

Making Hacky Sacks
Yesterday Room 10 and Mr Davis and Mrs Cowley made hacky sacks. My one was really cool and now i'm going to tell you all about it.
First I had to get a balloon and put a little air into it and then fill it up with rice. After that I put a knot in the balloon and pushed it in. Then cut a neck off another balloon, then put it around the balloon with rice. Then do the exact same thing with one more balloon.
Then I got a permanent marker and drew a face on it, some eyes, mouth and nose and you're finished. You have a hacky sack.
If you make a hacky sack what would you put on it?

Learning About Insects
On Tuesday Chris Charles came into Room 10 to talk about insects. He brought his books. He had two books. One of the insects he did not know the name of so he put unknown. We did an exercise where we found out what was different about our two insects. In the afternoon we did a booklet. We did two pages.I got to the fun part I did some of it.
We are going to learn more about insects.

Chocolate Zucchini Cakes
In Room 10 we do cooking. Last week we made chocolate zucchini muffins out of the marrows in the school garden. Every body liked them so much we all wanted seconds but unfortunately there was not enough. Mr Davis is such a good teacher he helped us cut them up so we all got to have more. What I liked most about the muffins is the chocolate button on top.
