Woven Characters

In our class we made woven characters out of black and white paper.

First we had to have black paper and you can choose to have straight lines or squiggly lines.If you want straight you get your ruler and rule a line at the top then under that line you rule as many lines as you can but don't make them too fat or too skinny.If you want squiggly you do the same and rule a line at the top and underneath you do squiggly lines without a ruler. Then you cut the lines that you drew. Then you get as many white strips of paper as you need and start weaving in and out . When you have finished that row you do the opposite to the second row. So if you started under your now going to go over. And you keep doing that until you get to the bottom . Then you push all the white strips up to the top and then sellotape them. Once you've done that you close it up to make a cylinder shape and then staple the bottom and the top.

Then you start to make a face to do the eyes you cut out circles out of some scrap paper and do the same with the pupils. Then cut half a circle for a mouth . Then if you want you can cut some arms out. Then for the finishing touch you can make some hair and cut some lines up the paper for the wavy loaks and you can curl them if you want and glue your hair on.

Art Attack

On art attack week we made some pet rocks .We painted faces- mine was an angry guy and my friends was Elmo- hahaha and we played with them.  My rock was as cool as Pewdew!

70's Day

On Friday we had  a 70 day.                                                                                                                           On 70 day we made pet rocks. Mine looked horrible .                                                                                                                                                                                                                      We had a party I danced.                                                                  

I had so much fun! It was so cool.

Some teachers dressed up too.

So this is the story of 70's day !!!!!

Pet Rocks

We made pet rocks. My pet rock was a TV guy. My friends pet rock was a frog.

We made our pet rooks because it was art week.  My pet rock is a lady bug. We made our lady bug and vampire .

In art attack week we made pet rocks. My name is Tegan and I made a vampire and my friend Sydney made a blue ladybird. First we chose a rock then we had to paint it white.Then we had to wait for it to dry.The next day the white paint was dry and we had to paint over the white paint with any colour we liked. Then we had to paint the eyes mouth and nose. It was interresting to see what people had done for their pet rock.We were proud of our pet rocks. Art attack week was the best.

Suter Art Gallery

We went to the Suter Art Gallery. We had to wait then the doors opened then we went inside and sat on the floor and looked at Jane Evans paintings.

Beach Day

Beach Day on PhotoPeach


On the 17 March the Middle Syndicate went to Tahuna beach for Beach Day. When all of us had arrived we had to get into our groups. I was in number 2. My friend Tim was in group 3 .The first activity that we did was paddle play- that means we get to go into the sea. Me and Tahana were splashing each other. Next we played on the playground. I played on the slide it was fun.

Elgregoe

On Wednesday all the Junior, Middle and Senior Syndicate went to Elgregoe.

The boringist thing was the trick where he poked a needle through a balloon without it popping because you just pop some cellotape on the balloon and then stick a needle through and it wont pop.

I thought we were going to the foyer but we went to the Broadgreen School. The frist thing I saw was  the brick wall. He put three birds in the cage. He put a cover over it then it turned into a rabbit.

When we went to ELGREGOE the man put 3 colourful birds in a glass box and put a cover over it and he took it off and the birds were gone!!! Instead there was a bunny! and he put a sharp needle through a ballon! and all the other ballon's popped without anything! and he made a puppet talk.

Elgregoe is a magicion. He turned 3 birds into a rabbit. Elgregoe put fire in a metal box and it come out with a big green bird. He had a cool puppet called Cebore the dinosaur he loves songs. Elgregoe had an assistant and Elgregoe put the assistant in a box and he put bambo sticks in the box then he asked if the assistant is in there- she wiggled the bambo stick and then she was gone and finally he pulled her out of the box. I liked the music that was happening. I liked the rabbit. He asked someone from the audiance to pick a card and he asked him to pick a balloon and then 1,2,3 balloons popped 1 balloon was left and then he clicked his fingers it popped and that was the card he chose.
